Spring term

Spring term 1 was a brilliant term - especially because of the progress that all the children made! Despite it being 'The term of the dreaded lurgy', the class completed an amazing amount of learning - writing being a key focus! Below is a range of the different activities and learning that we completed...
Throughout this term, we have been visiting Mounts Bay's music studio for our music lessons. We have been learning various instruments, new cords, how to keep rhythm and beat and we have even written our own song which we will be performing in our end of term production. Here are some photos of what we have been up to!
World Book Day was a blast! We had super costumes, activities, and even met a famous Cornish author who read to us. Sennen took part in lots of activities trhoughout the day, but also set up activities for others around the school grounds. They created a Where's Wally hunt in the forest and shared their homemade comics with EYFS and year 1/2. Here are some of our photos...
To enhance our science learning this term, we visited Trembothick and took part in a range of activities including: pong and stream sampling, insect hunting, bread making over a fire, nature walks and art! We had a fantastic day on this beautiful farm and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to Emma for hosting us!
This term we took another trip down to the art gallery where we visited at the start of the year and created some climate change art. We embarked on yet more artwork, this time in the style of old GWR posters, to help persuade people who visit Cornwall, to protect our environment. Whilst we were there, we also had the chance to look at our art work from before on show in the actual gallery! Along with hundreds of other pieces of climate change pieces.
School councillors from year 5/6 took on the mighty challenge of arranging comic relief activities this year for the rest of the school. They smashed it with creating your own red nose competitions, best dressed competition and presented it all in assembly at the end of the day. Well done guys!
