Mrs Chrissy Simpson-Edmands

Deputy Headteacher

Hello, my name is Chrissy Simpson-Edmands and I am extremely proud to be the Deputy Headteacher of Pensans Community Primary School. I moved to Cornwall in May 2003 and I volunteered as a parent helper from September 2003 when my daughter Poppy was in the Reception Class and I was pregnant with my daughter Maisy. As soon as she was born, she came with me when helping! As a school and local community, you have always made me and my family feel so welcome and I am extremely passionate in my commitment and dedication in supporting our school and local community and most importantly your children. So much so, that I started as parent helper and member of the PTA, then became a lunchtime supervisor and Teaching Assistant and ran the Roller Disco Club, then became an HLTA teaching every year group, Qualified Teacher and Autism Champion eight years ago (teaching Year 5/6) and finally the Deputy Head in September 2022. Every role that I have had has taught me so much and been a privilege to have. So, to now be teaching Porthcurno Class, as part of my Deputy Head role, feels me with excitement as to what Mrs Ciliberto, Mrs Hessel, the children, you as their parents and I can achieve as a team together for the remainder of the year! This page is all about the Porthcurno Team so if you have any suggestions as to what you would like to be posted, please do not hesitate to contact me. Your suggestions and feedback will always be welcomed and taken on board and shared.
