Welcome to Pensans CP School

Hello and welcome to the Pensans Community Primary School.
I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of such a vibrant and inclusive school community. I joined 'Team Pensans' in January 2023 and have been excited to work alongside long established staff and also welcome some new faces to our talented and committed team.
It is our aim to have a positive and successful partnership with our pupils, parents, carers and the local community to benefit all our children.  The dedicated teaching and support staff are welcoming, approachable and above all highly professional to deliver a quality and creative curriculum for your child. Communication is key and we endeavour to always make someone available to speak to if you have any concerns or anxieties. Likewise, we feel that it is important that we can also contact you as parents and carers if extra information or support would help your child to fulfil their potential at school whether socially or academically. This two way communication makes for good relationships between home and school.
Our school provision caters for children between 3 years and 11 years old. Our classes vary in number reflecting the admission of local children to their local school. We are also excited to be opening our own Area Resource Base, a specialist provision for primary age pupils with additional Communication & Interaction needs, in the Spring 2024.
We are fortunate to have amazing school grounds with our Forest School facility, a large sports field, a woodland area, an amphitheatre and our wonderful 'teletubby' hills! We aim to utilise the school site at every opportunity to support and enhance our curriculum whilst at the same time venturing out into our local community and natural environment to give our children as many experiences as possible.
We actively promote a positive learning environment where respect and clear expectations support pupils to have a productive, happy and enriching school experience. This provides the building blocks of their school career and prepares them for successful futures after Primary School.
Please do arrange a visit if you would like to find out more and I will be happy to show you around                                                                                                                                        Niki Ambrose - Headteacher
