Safeguarding at Pensans
Pensans School is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. To achieve our commitment, we will ensure continuous development and improvement of robust Safeguarding processes and procedures that promote a culture of Safeguarding amongst our staff and volunteers.
Mrs Angela Clay (Head Teacher)is the school’s designated senior person (DCPO) with regard to Child Protection and Safeguarding. Sarah Hawken is our School Safeguarding Officer. Staff, students and parents are advised to make contact with Mrs Angela Clay or to one of the designated deputy officers if there is any concern with regard to the safeguarding of children at Pensans School.
All our staff maintain an attitude of ‘it can happen here’ and are aware of the signs and indicators of abuse.
All members of staff have a responsibility to provide a safe environment in which children can learn and understand the role that they all have in safeguarding. Our single central record is maintained jointly by all members of Pensans Safeguarding Team.
