Assessment is a vital part of a childs education and ensures they make the correct progress, have support when needed and reach their full potential while they are with us.
We have introduced learning journals for each child which hold a comprehensive record of children's achievements, teacher comments and their own reflections on their learning. These have also become part of weekly learning meetings where children meet with an adult to discuss the progress they have made against specific targets and where they are going next.
Staff are also using 'Scholar Pack' which is an online system to record all elements of children's progress in detail.
The assessments are uploaded weekly and a 'data' capture taken every six weeks to ensure we monitor children who are on and off track and then put in targeted support to make sure they are confident in all areas.
More detail can be found on the Literacy and Numeracy pages.
